The Hardware Standards Working Group aims to:
- Develop standardized terminology, design/build/re-use and recycle standards, measurement methodologies, and reporting frameworks for efficient and sustainable physical hardware and related supporting infrastructure, ensuring these standards can be implemented in an interoperable manner across diverse manufacturers and operators in both developed and developing regions.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Open19 1.0 and 2.0 specifications (as well as future versions), support its adoption and understanding, and continuously evaluate and propose improvements or revisions to enhance its effectiveness.
