TOSS provides technology leaders and developer advocates with a comprehensive approach to adopting and utilizing software applications while minimizing carbon emissions. By utilizing decision trees, practical templates, and actionable metrics, TOSS creates a clear framework for leveraging software emissions data to inform strategy and drive transformation.

In 2024, the team identified four core pillars of the framework and drafted version 1.0.
