The principles project focuses on educational content to build green software knowledge and tools. 

This is an online open source database of software patterns proven to reduce software’s carbon emissions. 

The Policy Working Group aims to: • Ensure the Foundation’s trademarks are being used correctly and in a context that doesn't diminish the Foundation's value. • Define guidance regarding when, how and in what context the Foundation’s trademarks can be used. • Manage projects related to the green certification of products and services. • Engage with external bodies and campaigns, comment on existing or proposed policy related to green software, and create our own policy proposals.

The Community Working Group aims to: • Facilitate broad adoption of Green Software standards and best practices through the creation of partnerships, content, events and programs. • Ensure diverse participation of stakeholders in the development and implementation of Green Software.

The Open Source Working Group aims to: • Direct open-source, open-data and academic research in areas that advance the field of green software; • Develop open-source tools to improve the monitoring, measurement and lifecycle assessment of green software; and • Sponsor key open-source and open-data projects to give confidence they will be supported and maintained for the long term.

The SCER aims to develop a standard for a benchmark platform and test metrics for evaluating the carbon efficiency of software. 

The Standards Working Group aims to: • Develop a series of baseline specifications for Green Software; and • Ensure that the specifications can be implemented in an interoperable fashion on the computing platforms in widespread use in both developed and developing regions.

This project aims to establish a benchmark for measuring carbon emissions. 

IF is a measurement framework designed to compute and report the environmental impacts of software applications accurately.  

A self-assessment tool to help organizations understand how well they have implemented green software principles, patterns, and processes.

This project provides ICT engineering teams with guidance and recommendations for achieving sustainability in their products and practices, tailored to their specific work types.

This project will result in a framework for decision-making during the development, implementation, and operation of technology applications by incorporating all available methodologies and instruments.

At its core the Carbon Aware SDK is a WebApi and Command Line Interface (CLI) to assist in building carbon aware software. The functionality across the CLI and WebApi is identical by design.

A database of research, tools, code, libraries and training for building applications that emit less carbon into our atmosphere. 

SCI Guidance details approaches on how to understand the different methodologies available for calculating core components of the SCI Specification, such as energy, carbon intensity, embodied emissions and functional unit values.

Higher Education Engagement supports educators and learners in becoming Green Software practitioners through content and engagement with the Green Software Foundation.
